Krusevo – Macedonia is the highest town in the country and is a major venue for celebrations of the national holiday also known as Republic Day held every second of August each year.

Krusevo – Macedonia is within the Municipality of Krusevo which is bordered by the Plasnica Municipality on its northwestern side, Makedonski Brod Municipality on its northern side and Dolneni Municipality on its eastern side.
Getting There
The best way to reach Krusevo – Macedonia is via a minibus ride from Prilep which is about thirty-two kilometers from the town of Krusevo. You can also take a minibus from Skopje to get to Krusevo.
Since buses are no longer plying the routes going to the town of Krusevo, your only means of public transport is via a minibus.
Your next best option is to take a taxi ride from Prilep.

Brief History
Krusevo – Macedonia is one of the major towns involved in the Ilinden Uprising of 1903 which was meant to topple the Ottoman Empire. As such, the national holiday which is the Republic Day in commemoration of the said uprising, is a major annual celebration in town.
The town is known for being one of the very first republics in the Balkan Region and it developed into a prosperous and progressive town during the eighteenth century.
Today, the town is known for being one of the best towns in the country to provide excellent slopes for skiing and other winter sports.
