Brief History
Limmasol District Archaeological Museum in Limmasol – Cyprus was established in the year 1948. When political conflicts broke out in the year 1964, the museum was closed down.
Following this event, reconstruction of the museum took place some time in the year 1972 and by the year 1975, the new exhibits were finally organized.
The museum is housed within the Limmasol Castle and following the conflicts in 1964; the castle was also reconstructed.
