Sentosa is a resort-island in Singapore that welcomes approximately 5 million visitors every year. Beaches, theme parks and golf courses are only some of its attractions.

Location
The Underwater World in Sentosa – Singapore is located in along Silosa Road. Its exact location is 80 Siloso Road, Sentosa; which is on the west side of the island.
Getting There
There are several ways to reach Underwater World: through cable car, bus, Sentosa Express, taxi and your own private vehicle if you wish to get a car hire service in while visiting Singapore.
Cable cars can be found at HarbourFront Centre, a major shopping mall in Singapore. Cable cars are available everyday from 8:30 in the morning up to 9 in the evening.
You can also take a bus from the HarbourFront Centre Bus Terminal. Simply take the bus that indicates Sentosa as the destination. For Sentosa Express, there is a Sentosa Station right at VivoCity Level 3.
VivoCity is connected HarbourFront so this will be very easy to find. Incidentally, HarbourFront is the gateway to Sentosa so you can find a variety of public transports that will take you straight to the island.
If you will be taking the taxi, inform your driver to drive down to Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Resort as the Underwater World is right beside it.
If you will be taking your own car hire service, you can also follow the direction going to the mentioned resort hotel.
What to See
The Underwater World in Sentosa – Singapore is home to some two hundred fifty species of sea animals from all across the globe. There are about two thousand five hundred sea creatures here.
A moving walkway will take you through a tunnel where you can see the collection of marine life that The Underwater World in Sentosa – Singapore has; from eels to rays, coral reefs to turtles and even sharks.
But there’s more to this underwater world than just viewing what it has to offer. You can swim with dolphins and dive with sharks and sea cows or dugongs.

Brief History
The Underwater World in Sentosa – Singapore first opened its doors to the public in 1991. Since its opening, Underwater World has attracted some thirty million visitors coming in from all parts of the world as well as Singapore’s own residents.
In 2006, the Underwater World in Sentosa – Singapore added 3 new attractions. These are the feeding pool for stingrays, an exhibit of small marine reef life and a “fish spa.”
The fish spa has doctor fishes nibbling at the guests’ feet which not only get rid of dead skin but also is a very relaxing, albeit a bit ticklish, experience.
Cost
Entry fees are 22.90 Singapore dollars for adults and 14.60 Singapore dollars for children three years old and up. Kids below three years of age are free of charge.
Other Information
If you wish to swim with the dolphins, dive with the sharks or swim with the sea cows; you need to inform the ticketing office so you can get the appropriate tickets.
