The Drini River Waterfall is one of the most beautiful natural sites in Kosovo. There are more than a few waterfalls in the country, but this is definitely one of the most picturesque.
Location
The waterfall can be found at the back of the village of Berdynaj.
What to See
The road heading to the waterfall is scenic and full of beauty. However, it is only an appetizer to the main course. The waterfalls are set in the midst of lush greens. The white water drops steadily into the River Drin, providing for a stunning view.
The sound of the waters falling add to the beauty of the surroundings. The Drini River Waterfall can be visited any time of the year, but it is stunning during the summer. The waterfalls are 25 meters high.
History
The river has several tributaries. At the right are Erenik, Prue potok, Decanska Bistrica and Pecka Bistrica. At the left are Bistrica e Prizerenit, Topluga, Mirusha, Klina and Istocka. The part at Kosovo covers an area of 4,360 km2 (1,680 sq mi).
The waters here are utilized for the waterworks for the towns close by. The water is also used for production of power and irrigation.
The river heads to Trektan at eastern Albania at the Vrbnica-Shalqin border. The Albanian part has a drainage measuring 604 km2 (233 sq mi). The length is 19 km (12 mi) long. When the river goes to the town of Kukes, it meets up with the Black Drin. Together they form the Drin.

Airfare to Kosovo will cost about 1000 USD more or less. The bus fares in the city should be around 4 Euros at most. The travel packages are priced at around 300 USD or more. The higher priced packages have more amenities or more extensive itineraries.

The Rusolia Mountain is its source. The altitude is 586 meters. The flowing water moves at 30 m per second. The river goes up to the Dukagjini plane.
The Drini River Waterfall is a great place to visit when you are in Kosovo. It is not yet as well known as the other tourist spots in the country, so you can enjoy the site without worrying about a large crowd.
